Netrunner 13.12 released with enigmatic look and amazing features

The Netrunner Team has released Netrunner 13.12 with KDE 4.11.2 desktop and a host of new features. Netrunner is a Kubuntu-based linux distribution sponsored by Blue Systems with focus on new users as well as “power-users”. It features a highly customised KDE desktop with extra applications, multimedia codecs, Flash and Java plugins, and a unique look and feel. The modifications are designed to enhance the user-friendliness of the desktop environment while still preserving the freedom to tweak.

The operating system’s latest version codenamed Enigma II features a refreshed new look and feel which according to their website is based on a Ubuntu concept by a designer. Other features include KDE 4.11.2, kicker Menu (Super/Windows/Meta-Key to invoke), expanding taskbar, (Drag n Drop support), sidebar panel (show/hide with F11 or mouse swipe), mouse swipes and usual updates of packages like Firefox 25, VLC 2.1.1, Skype 4.2 and many more.

The developers have also posted a video with their announcement showcasing the new interface and various features present in the distribution. It is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and can be downloaded from direct server links or through torrent links on their website.
